Applicant must be enrolled full-time as a high school senior in the United States, progressing normally toward graduation in spring/summer with plans to enter a college in the United States no later than the fall following graduation. Applicant must exhibit a strong commitment to pursue and complete a bachelor's degree at an accredited non-profit public or private institution. Applicant must demonstrate critical financial need. Display integrity an perseverance in overcoming adversity. Maintain a minimum grade point average of 2.0. Be a United State Citizen. Name: Elk's National Scholarship Most Valuable Student
Any high school senior may apply. Applicants need not to related to a member of the Elks. This scholarship is based on academic achievement, leadership, extra-curricular activities, employment and financial need. Name: Hagen Scholarship Foundation
The Hagan Scholarship is a nationwide need-based merit scholarship. The scholarship is designed to help recipients graduate debt free. Recipients must graduate from a public high school located in a county in the US having fewer than 50,000 residents. The scholarship provides up to $6,000 each semester for up to 8 consecutive semesters. For more information, including the application, please visit www.hsfmo.org

This scholarship is offered for students studying for a career in business and financial services - all majors in the Scott College of Business are eligible. Name: World Class Mediacom Scholarship
This scholarship is offered to graduating high school seniors who live in the region serviced by the North Central Division of Mediacom. A 400-500 word essay and recommendations from two current teachers are required. More information and applications are available online.

This scholarship is open to all future chemists, chemical engineers, environmental engineers, or high school chemistry teachers. The ICEF's objective is to recognize and honor high school seniors who have exemplified outstanding achievement, extracurricular/employment activities and community involvement. Name: Neil Knauer Memorial Scholarship
This scholarship is open to all graduating seniors from a high school in Livingston County. Criiteria for this scholarship includes documentation of C+ or better GPA, involvement in hunting or interest in wildlife conservation, involvement in extracurricular activities (school or other), community service and be a US citizen. Also required is an essay of no more than 500 words. Counselors must provide required information on the application. Name:  National Defense Transportation Association
This scholarship program is to promote careers in Business, Transportation, Logistics, Supply Chain and Physical Distribution. Although all students may apply, preference will be given to the students pursuing these and related courses of study. High school applications must reside in Illinois or Missouri. Applicants must be high school seniors graduating in the spring of 2020, or full-time college students. For more information please see the application. Name: Chesebro/Cushman/Kyser Scholarship Fund
This scholarship is open to students who are graduates of any Livingston Co. high school or who will graduate this spring. Priority will be given to graduates from Saunemin area and full-time college students. A letter of recommendation from one of your high school teachers and an official transcript is required. An essay of 250 words of less about your career goals and how this scholarship might affect your options is also required. More information and applications are available at any Livingston Co. high school, Saunemin grade school, and both branches of the State Bank of Saunemin.

Name: Roger and Joyce Tuttle Scholarship
Roger and Joyce have dedicated their lives to the education and advancement of young adults. This scholarship honors their commitment as it assists a young adult in attending college. Any high school senior who plans on attending college, vocational school or technical college is eligible to apply for the scholarship which will be awarded to them in their college costs. The scholarship will be awarded based upon the application, an essay describing how the applicant has been active in leadership in his/her community, and a brief outline of future plans. Applicants should have a cumulative 3.0 grade point average on a 4.0 GPA scale.

Name: Evergreen FS, Inc. Sponsorship Program
Evergreen FS offers full-tuition sponsorships for students pursuing or currently enrolled in a 2-year agriculture degree program. Post-graduation, join the Evergreen FS team as a full-time employee with competitive pay, career development, and total benefits package including insurance, 401(k), generous time-off program and defined benefit pension.  Applicant must be enrolled/accepted into an accredited 2-year agriculture degree program and maintain a 3.0/4.0 GPA or “B” average. Student must complete a minimum of 1 internship with Evergreen FS prior to full-time employment. Contingent upon full-time employment agreement within Operations at Evergreen FS.

This scholarship is available to students who plan on attending Morrison Tech. This scholarship may be applied to any of Morrison Tech's programs - Building & Highway Construction, Computer-Aided Design & Drafting or Network Administration. Please see you guidance counselor for more information.

Name:  Illinois Sheriffs' Association
Applicants must be permanent Illinois residents, and enrolled full-time at a certified institution of higher learning within the State of Illinois. As essay of 350 words or less is also required.  Applications must be returned to the sheriff’s office in your county. Name:  Starved Rock Country Community Scholarships
On behalf of the generous individuals, SRCCF administers a scholarship program each year to help students pursue their dreams and goals at colleges and universities. To streamline the amount of time you need to spend completing each of these scholarships, there is a common portion of the application (Part 1) that will be used by the Scholarship Committee. Please complete those pages. You are also being asked to complete a separate essay for each scholarship for which you apply. Return the entire packet to the Starved Rock Country Community Scholarship committee in person, by mail or via email.  Applications are available in the guidance office or online.

Name:  Vermillion Players Theatre Scholarship Program
This scholarship will be awarded to a college bound high school graduate who has demonstrated activity in and appreciation for the theatre arts. Special consideration will be given to those whose course of study includes the theatre arts. Applicants must have been involved in a Vermillion Players production in the production in the last 4 years in any capacity (actor, backstage crew, lighting, etc.) Applicants must be active in theatre arts including theatre, speech, communications, film, etc. during his/her high school career as cast member and/or part of a technical crew. Applicants must be in pursuit of a post-secondary education. Applicants may be required to meet with the Vermillion Players Scholarship committee. This scholarship is based on need, achievement and class standing. Written recommendations from 3 persons not related to you, a one page biography, and an official transcript are required.

Name:  Pontiac Masonic Lodge Scholarship
This scholarship requires 2 letters of personal references, a one page biography, and official transcript. A personal interview may be requested. This scholarship must me mailed by the Guidance Department. Bring to the Guidance Department before due date to be reviewed.

Name:  SOCU Member Scholarship
Applicants must be members in good standing of the SOCU and enroll or plan to enroll full-time in a college, university, or trade school. Applicants must have a current minimum GPA 2.0 and have not previously received a SOCU scholarship. Applicants must attend college during the school year listed on the scholarship application. Name:  Pontiac Elks Lodge Scholarship
Scholarship awards to applicants attending college or other institution of higher education. Scholarships are available to Pontiac Elks and their immediate families only. Scholarship requires an official transcript, two letters of recommendation and a one page biography telling your purpose of attending school, recognitions you have received, what employment you have had and what goals you have for the future. Applicants should expect to submit to a personal interview before the Scholarship Committee, if requested. Applications are available in the Guidance Department.

Name:  William & Patricia Hibsch Memorial Scholarship
This scholarship is available to PTHS graduating seniors. Applicants must be in the upper 1/4 of their class. Requirements also include a one or two page, typed, double spaced essay on field of study and why you chose it, a letter from a teacher, a letter from a person in the community addressing community involvement, and a letter from a person of applicant’s choice. More information is available online or in the Guidance Department.

Name:  Dr. Charles & Mrs. Geneva Porter Scholarship
This scholarship is open to graduating PTHS seniors majoring in any health care related field excluding chiropractic. Preference will be given to osteopathy majors at Des Moines University or osteopathy majors at any college or university. A one page essay and a letter from a teacher or administrator are also required. More information and applications are located in the PTHS guidance office or online.

Name:  Lois Siegert Scholarship
PTHS seniors majoring in education are eligible for this scholarship even though preference may be given to students planning to attend Knox College or private institutions. This scholarship requires a letter of recommendation from a teacher and an essay.

Name:  Richard A. Alderman Music Scholarship
PTHS seniors who have been active all 4 years of high school in the instrumental music department at PTHS, and have been accepted to a college or university as a music major are eligible for the scholarship. Selection is based on musical achievement, career plans, an essay, active involvement in the PTHS music department and community, and 4 years in the PTHS instrumental music program. Transfer students would be given credit for enrollment in another school. Although the recipient must be an instrumental music student in high school, this does not preclude a music student who plans to continue their studies in college as a vocal music major or some other musical emphasis from eligibility.

Name:  Fellheimer Business and Law Scholarship
This scholarship will be awarded to a graduating PTHS senior entering the fields of Business and/or Law. Applicant selection will be based on scholastic achievement and financial need. More information and applications are available in the guidance office or online.

Name:  Zonta Club of Pontiac In Memory of Rita Jester
This scholarship is offered to PTHS seniors who wish to continue their education. There are no restrictions on applicant’s selection of institution or program of study. Criteria is based on financial need, achievement, career plans, and community involvement. It requires a recommendation from administrator or teacher. Applications are available in the guidance office or online.

Name:  Samuel Leslie Bane and Marguerite Bane Scholarship Fund Trust 
This scholarship will be awarded to graduating PTHS seniors. A letter from an administrator or teacher is required. Applicant selection is based on character/financial need, scholastic achievement, success in field of study, career plans, community involvement, an recommendation from an administrator or teacher. Name:  Lois E. Heins Scholarship
This scholarship is offered to PTHS seniors, one male and one female who wish to continue their education. There is no restrictions on applicant’s selection of an institution or program of study. Criteria is based on financial need, achievement, career plans, and community involvement. It requires a recommendation from a administrator or teacher. Applications are available in the office or online.

Name:  Illinois Heartland Decorative Artists Scholarship
Talented art students interested in pursuing a career in fine arts are eligible for this scholarship. Talent, desire, area of college study and financial need are all considered for this scholarship. Requirements include a letter of recommendation for the art teacher, and a total of 6 to 10 photos of artwork completed within the past 4 years. (All applications must by postmarked by April 7, 2019).  Applications can be found online at www.ihda.us/education.html

Name:  Pontiac Education Association
This Scholarship will be available to PTHS seniors pursuing a degree in education. Applicants must have a cumulative 3.25 GPA on a 4.0 scale and plan to enroll in an education program with a university. A 250-500 word essay and three letters or reference with at least one being from an educator are required. More information and applications are available in the PTHS guidance office.

Name:  Pontiac Rotary Club – Eva Mae Wagner Loy Scholarship In Memory of Rotarian Phil Loy
This scholarship is available to PTHS seniors ranked in the upper 1/3 of their class. A letter an administrator or teacher is required. Applicant selection is also based on character, scholastic achievement success in field of study, career plans, community involvement and financial need. This scholarship is available to graduating PTHS seniors who demonstrate “service above self”. This scholarship is available to graduating PTHS seniors who demonstrate “service above self”. Name:  J. Paul Yost Creative Arts Scholarship
Applicant’s major or minor must be in some area of creative arts, music, art, theater, dance etc. A one page biography and a list of your participation and achievements in school and the community activities are required. Also required are two recommendations, one to be from a teacher or administrator. Applicants should include a portfolio, digital portfolio, cd, or dvd that will demonstrate your ability in the creative arts. More information is available in the guidance office or online.

Name:  Fred Drendel Memorial Scholarship
This scholarship will be awarded to a graduating senior of Dwight, Gardner, Herscher, Pontiac or Tri-Point High School. Applications must be accepted to or enrolled in an accredited college or trade school, and pursuing a degree in agriculture or be from an agriculture family and a have a GPA of 3.0 of better. A typed 200-word statement describing the applicant’s interest in agriculture, community involvement, and future career goals is also required. Applications are available in the guidance office or online.

Name: Corey Schneeman Memorial Scholarship Fund
The Corey Schneeman Memorial Scholarship Committee will award one scholarship to a graduating senior from the class of 2019 that is pursuing a career in the medical field through higher education. Applicant selection will be based on graduating senior planning to pursue a career in the medical field of study. Acceptance to a community college, university, or trade school. Financial need. Meaningful answer to essay question: Why have you decided to pursue a career in the medical field and what specifically would you like to accomplish in your career? Letter of recommendation from a teacher or other professional at PTHS. Applications are available in the Guidance Office or online.

Name:  Arvetta M. Lewis Scholarship Fund
Applicant must live in Ford or Livingston county. Must attend the University of Illinois studying an agricultural related field. Selection based on character, scholastic achievement, professional promise, career plans, community involvement, financial need and recommendation of teacher or administrator. Letter from administrator or teacher is required.

Name:  Livingston County Home and Community Education Association Scholarship
This scholarship is open to any student who graduated from a Livingston County High School or who resided in Livingston County prior to college or university attendance. The recipient must be enrolled or enrolling as full-time student in an accredited 2 or 4 year college, and pursue an education in Family and Consumer Sciences or related fields. Also required are an interview, 3 reference letters, and a 1-page statement why you are choosing this career path and reasons you are applying for this scholarship.

Name:  Johnny “Och” Rygh Scholarship Fund
Applicants must be high school graduates or equivalent wishing to further his/her education. Applicants need not to be a recent high school graduate but must be a resident of PTHS of DTHS school districts. Students activities, financial need and freedom from the use of drugs and alcohol will be considered in awarding this scholarship. A brief essay is required. Name: Illinois Association of Highway Engineers
The Ottawa Chapter of the Illinois Association of Highway Engineers has six scholarships available. Scholarships are available for engineering and non-engineering curriculums. See application for available scholarships and requirements. Applications are available in the Guidance Office and online.

To be eligible for this scholarship program applicants must fulfill the following criteria. Have completed high school (or earned high school equivalency credential) by Spring. Be enrolled in a 2 year or less career or technical degree/certificate program in Fall that will lead to employment. Attend a not-for-profit post-secondary institution. Demonstrate financial need, applicants must be Pell Grant eligible. Be under 30. Be a United States citizen. Must apply online.

Name: Livingston County Grade School Association Scholarship
This scholarship is offered to graduating seniors from a Livingston County High School. Applicants must submit an essay consisting of 500-1000 words, and no more than 4 pages. Essays must be double-spaced. More information and applications are available in the guidance office and online.

Name:  The Caring Scholarship
As population of older adults continues to grow and life spans lengthen, more and more young people are taking on the role of caregiver for older loved ones. While the exact number of young people taking on this responsibility is not well understood, it’s estimated to be well over 1 million. On top of their demanding caregiving duties, many of these young people are simultaneously pursing high school, college or graduate-level education. Scholarships for student-caregivers help ease the financial burden faced by these extremely hardworking students.
